Default 2006 Giant Faith Downhill Mountain bike Stolen

More for those guys in here that are into the bike scene (ie me thinking cops will be no help and clutching at straws.)

My 06 Giant Faith 2 got stolen from outside my work building in middle of the day yesterday..... chain was cut through with bolt cutters. IF you happen to see this bike,
it's dark blue frame dual suspension
Marzocchi 066vf front shocks single riser
Fox 5.0 coil over shock
Alex Supra BH Rims
Hayes 9 Hydraulic bracks, 8" front and rear rotors
Shimano SPD pedals.

http://archive.giant-bicycles.com/au...06&model=10043

Over the comming weeks and it has a "Speedlite Cycles" yellow sticker on the frame near the seat post can you take note of where when and what the person looked like? Been reported to the police, I don't have a spare $3000 to replace at this time and I'm friggin pissed.

Anyway any info would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers, Paul

I'd just got a helmet cam and was going riding tomorrow with Chris.....

Not data dot but have the frame sn/ fork pn / sn number. Made police report but they basically said unless it's recovered in a raid or found dumped (who would dump a $3000 bike?) got buckleys.

Anyone work for cash converters or similar on here can you tell me if you guys have some sort of policy or procedure in place to check if this sort of bike is stolen when taking on stock?

NVRENUF works for cashies. Might be worth a PM to him and ask what the go is.

There are some assholes out there. Probably sell the thing down the pub for $100.

Who would bother stealing a giant?!

I know the feeling all too well, but it was my Xc bike not the DH (PHEW)

Keep an eye out in the Quokka, other than that you'll need a whole lot of luck but crazier things have happened...

If you're in the Quokka and you see an 05 Bighit for sale, buy it

Sorry to hear mate.

Are they not insurable......seems like a lot of dough to be leaving a $3K bike anywhere chained up or not.
