Default So i booked a taxi in Germany..

A V10 M5 with Suspension, brakes etc and being driven around the Nurburgring by Sabine Schmitz (well a 50% chance as there are two)

Locked in for a lap the 3-10-08!

Hopefully will get my own lap in a hire car but as Jester will tell you, it took him 3 days to get one. I dont have 3 days to hang around so at least with this its guaranted even if its raining!! Pretty reasonably price too. $185 ($300ish i think?) euros per lap!

The M5 is a boring car IMO (driving and passenger) - BUT being driven by a proper driver with plenty of skill on somewhere like the 'Ring I'm sure it will be a hell of a lot of fun!

Well yeh, i figure since im only in germany for a week its best to at least get a proper lap in! Ferrari have booked the track the next day or two, so the 3rd is my only chance.

Theres other options for better / faster cars but they start from 300 euros and rise quickly. Theres also a couple of porkas etc for hire BUT driving around a racetrack in a country i've never been to with no insurance in a Hi-Po car worth 50-100K is not something i plan on doing anytime soon

Sorry boys, she's not really my type but i'll take some photo's for you Like i said i have a spare seat if anyone wants to spend 2K on airfares to meet her!!!

Don't forget anything you manage to hire will almost certainly be left hand drive.

If you haven't driven one a bit before punting one round a race track might be a bit disconcerting.

Details... Is that 10th March 2008... ?

I am in the UK and still don't have a job, so if the spare seat is open then
I will fly across and join you on that lap. Will bring the HD cam also.
