as long as no wires are exposed outside of the plug top your fine, bunnings will sell clear plug tops so you will be able to see... or if u go to an electrical wholesaler and buy one some come with pictures on how long to strip your wires.

If you buy a Clipsal 10A plug top, when you open the packet you throw away the pastic wrapping and keep the cardboard. The carboard is a triangle which you open up and on the inside it will tell you;

-How long to leave your outer insulations
-How long to leave your inner insulation and;
-How long to leave your strands of copper.

From there you follow the cable laying bits in the pastic (Torcherous path) and bingo!

I think Bunnings only sells HPM shit.
Which dont have instructions on the pack.
But its easy enough to figure it out.
