Maintaining a good lawn is an art .. I have been able to get my back lawn pretty mint over the last few months.

During summer time, it was totally green and never shown signs of browning.

I think the main thing that people forget is that - Lawns need feeding as well as watering! Don't forget to fertalise (at the right times!) with decent shit (yes i mean shit, cow, sheep whatever).

Don't mow it too low.

Oh, and if you have a dog which likes to piss on it, you're pretty much fucked from the word go.

Have you thought of artificial lawn, some of the new stuff is great, hard to tell the difference.

A couple of houses in my street have it and it looks mint..

cheers

Lovegroves turf farm i've heard are pretty good.

Have Palmetto Buffalo at the front at the moment and it still died in the arse. Got plenty of water and I fertilised with baileys 3:1:1 etc.. The lawn was fine for a year then last summer it started to die.

Like I said I have spent more money on the lawn since and still no joy, hence going to try again by ripping up etc...

daren have you tried urea?? Or some sort of fertiliser that is high in potassium that lawn loves?? My neighbour across the road has sir walter and had a bad batch of beetles.

Almost killed it fertilise every 3 weeks coming out of winter and into spring and watch it bloom. Also give it time and in late spring top dress it with some lawn sand and let it go nuts lawn loves that shit.. hahahaha my mates a green keeper..

Not too sure exactly the contents of what I have been placing on the lawn mate. Just been asking "professionals" and using what they have recommended.

Have any luck with your lawn, If you need help let me know I'm a greenkeeper on a golf course.

Try the lawn doctor for turf...or W.A. Turf farms.
