Default WRX involved in an accident Friday night...

hey guys,

Friday night/saturday morning one of my friends was driving home from work on Beechboro and turned onto Marshal Rd heading west. He passed 3 cars driving somewhat unpredictably then seconds later he was hit from the back or the side by what later turned out to be a silver WRX.
The hit was from the right hand side and around the rear wheel/door area which cause my friends car (camry) to spin, go over the median strip and into the ditch on the other side of the road. The WRX takes off.. leaving the rear bumper on the road - don't ask my how that came off.

Minutes later one of the other 3 cars pulls up asking if my friend is ok - he was on the phone the cops by then saying he was in a Hit and Run. The guys who pulled up - did so basically to try and take off with the rear bumper from the silver WRX. Good buddies hey?

My friend called in the plate of the WRX by then and also called in the plate of the car that pulled up. When on of the guys from that car found that out he basically bolted through the bush with the bumper under his arm... only to leave it somewhere on another street - the other guy jumped into the car and took off as well in the same direction.

Cops arrived and started writing the report and who shows up.... the Silver WRX! explaining he was in shock and didn't know what he was doing... etc etc. His mates must have told him either way their plates were called in so it was best to make an appearance... we don't know what was said after to the cops but a report is being made today and my friend is going to claim his car which looks like a write off through they WRX drivers insurance which happens to be JUST CAR.

Thought i'd post this up, in case anyone finds themselves in a similar situation where they are in a hit and run or if they maybe know the WRX in question and already know about this story through their mates...

Not a nice thing to happen for sure - my mate is left without a car or any form of transport for the time being and we don't know how Just Car will treat him in a payout (he didn't have comprehensive).

who doesnt have comprehensive your mate or the wrx driver ?

If its your mate, it doesnt matter, as long as the wrx driver has 3rd party cover your mate will be fine.

I got so fast with this new weight reduction plan which I Einsteined myself!..I figured the weight of the engine and gearbox was weighing the car down, so I took them out. The car was half the weight and did 400km/h.

No sorry SINISTR, it wasn't me. My car hasn't had the key in ignition for 4 months.
