Default for the PowerPoint Gurus

i have 2 powerpoint files, with about 50 slides in each.
Each slide contains a picture from a recent trip and also a caption or comment at the bottom.

is it possible to export each slide to a separate jpg file?

I know i could do screen capture of the slides, but it would be pretty time consuming so if i could speed it up itd be great.

Or even if there is a way to convert the power point sideshow to a video file? preferably mpeg?

Should just be able to do a "save as" and choose Jpeg or Tiff saving each slide as separate file.

Not sure about converting to movie file, outta my realm.
