Im not qualified but I've been looking to start as a greenie for ages. Surely there is something up there that they could need doing and train me up from there? I've been applying for AGES!
They keep saying they need experienced people yet they wont help anyone get experience!
Anyway if you do have any jobs for someone keen and fresh let me know and I'll send my resume through!

Depends exactly what you want to do. From time to time we might be able to get you into most aspects of mining. It's not all big machines. You could get into enrty level serviceman roles, drill and blast crews, pit tech, fixed plant (ie crushers/mills/screening etc), shutdowns, lab sampling, the list really does goes on. Mostly you need a background, sometimes you don't. I have a feeling that entry level positions may be posted/advertised in this very thread, or one that looks just like it!

I've been looking for a drilling or drillers offsider or any job just to get me up there and learning but no ones interested. dont drink, I dont take drugs, I'm fit and enthusiastic and have lots of mechanical and IT experience and pretty well rounded. And the best part is the company that hires me gets to train me THERE way. So I'll be doing things the way they want not how I've learnt elsewhere.
Really I've been keen to do anything, just looking to start a new career
