Default Australian Gov't road death statistics June 2008

Stats for road deaths in Australia as of June 2008. Interesting read if you can be bothered. http://www.infrastructure.gov.au/roa...df/mrf0608.pdf

Only interesting stats are the per 100,000 rates.

There is no way to compare stats from 10 years ago to now with the change in population.

Also, (I only looked at it quickly, so my flamesuit is on and ready ) looks like WA fails in the deaths compared to other states. Obviously the current methods are working well...

im shocked its so low in WA.... the driving standards are pretty shite... if you took v6 and v8 accidents out it would be interesting to see the figures then. its no wonder so many youngsters die here, driving too powerful cars that they cant control. but all the police say is its all speed that may be the case but the cars dont help..

A large proportion of road fatalities in W.A. are in the North West and are overloaded vehicles with occupants not wearing seatbelts. Read that however you like.

I hope you're not talking about our non reflective friends who can squeeze 18 adults, 11 kids, 3 dogs, 12 slabs & 15 boxes of goon into the back of a newly acquired government paid for Hilux..............hang on, the piss is in the front with a seat belt on.
