Bowling / Shin muscle pain
Hey, does anyone here find that after about 2 heated games of bowling thier clutch foot shin is all fatigued?
I found that the other day i jumped in my car and i couldnt shift properly, really aggravated me. I may have to change my bowling style as its such a pain. What are others thoughts on this and have you experienced it? Its all good for an Auto driver but you cant even rotate your ankle. beyond the joke. Ash Edit: When i bowl i come down on my left leg and bowl with my right hand, so a fair bit of pressure is put on the leg/shin muscle

There is a muscle going down the front on each side, so the left and ride side of each shin, i think its that one that controls your tilt in your ankle, thats the one that gets tired.. hrmm..
So your the one who has the plates that were on my car? :P

I suffered from compartment syndrome in that muscle (the one that runs down the side of the shin bone). Basically the muscle sits in a sack but in occasions the sack is too small for the muscle. So when you use it the muscle gets bigger with no where to go (think of blowing a balloon up in a pipe) and you lose the up and down motion of the foot. Mine was pretty bad (couldn't walk a few hundred meters properly), but it took doctors years to identify. If it happens often and you don't suffer from shin splints, maybe get the doc to check for that.
A quick surgery of slicing the side of your legs open and problem solvered. Also chicks dig scars, so well worth it

If your shoes are old and worn and offer little support this could be the problem. If it only happens when bowling I asume you may be wearing the same shoes?? Try a different or new pair next time you play. It is not always the answer but it is a cheap fix if it is the problem.

yeah it only ever happens when i bowl and i use surf shoes, so they arent all that supportive.
its definatly the muscle that gives you the up and down movement on your foot that gets tired. Thanks for the Info guys! I might just pass up or go easy when i do bowl.. Etc, walk up to the line and roll the ball lol
