Default BP Bulwer St North Perth - avoid it

I dropped in today on the way back from a meeting to get some fuel. Unleaded was 117.9 so I thought, cool save 1c a litre on Ultimate. SO start filling up, when I look at the price on the bowser and have a heart attack.

Ultimate was 12c more than reg unleaded!!! I thought 9c was rich but this is a joke. Ordinary premium was 10c more!

So asked the people in the shop and talk to manager, and they say that the franchises are now allowed to mark-up anything they please.

What a rip-off. So stay clear unless they are 5c cheaper for reg unleaded... damn

9c on top of the regular unleaded was the norm, but some genius in the marketing department thought by introducing the regular premium (BP95), they can charge that at 9c extra and push the BP98 to 13c extra.

I have complained about this a year ago when regular unlead was about $1/litre, but it seems they have up the ante since

BP Mt Lawley (corner of Lord & Walcott st) is still the best priced station in the metro area (BP98 is extra 9c always), so unless I have no choice, I always give them my business.

The owner of the station was fine not so long ago for selling the fuel under the advised price (those consumer protection ppl can be a funny bunch of shitheads sometimes).

Yeah, the BP on Cambridge also seem to be very consistent with their 9c over price. I agree, I'll stay going there from now on.

The funny thing with this now is that I filled up in Wangarra yesterday when unleaded was more expensive but 98 was cheaper than today... nuts

BP North Perth is actually on the corner of Charles St and Scarborough Beach Rd....the one in Bulwer Street is another suburb (not sure which though).

BP Mt Lawley is the cheapest BP consistenly, and the Shell in Mt Lawley is always the cheapest fuel NOR..

That's the one, damn close to North Perth, but if you want to split hairs call it what you will.
