I've had just whiteline flatout springs on standard shocks for quite a while and it didnt affect handling negatively, if anything it slightly improved it.

I personally think all the hype about needing coilovers is bs, unless you're seriously working your car - ie on a track, springs achieve the asthetics most are after.

Just getting lowered springs will probably make your car handle worse.

If you are going to cut corners due to budget, keep the car stock and get a different hobby/interest.

do you like music? Why dont you put a good stereo in it?

How does it make it handle worse? so would you say maybe get new shocks as well?
Yeah was thinking about a stereo but not really fussed just yet.
Budget isn't really a problem because most mod's I'll be putting in by myself with some help from mates who are tech's.

Lowering a car effects the whole suspension geometry, so lowering too far can be 'phulleh siq' in the looks department, but will handle like a piece of shit.

The flatouts in my opinion lower it too far for handling gains. This can be overcome with a roll centre kit though.

Only aloud to lower it 2 inches or 2 cm? lower than stock? i dunno, two fingers in between the tyre and gaurd i can fit and its legal.

Lash out and get coilies and then when you sell the car put your stockers back on.

I was under the impression you can lower as much as you like but the lowest part of the car has to be 100mm off the ground?
