Should I just head into the closest Tony Barlow?

For that money, again, cheap flight to Bali, Alto Moda Uomo, get two suits tailor made, enjoy the warm weather, fly home.

In Italy - About Us - altamodauomo

The Indonesian connection - Alta Moda | Indonesia's Leading Chain of Fabric & Textile Stores

For every dollar I don't spend is two dollars I don't have to earn (actually considering my child support it's 3 dollars) ...
mARC and TROLLEY like this.

On the topic of suits, looking for a cheap one, just for a once or twice of wear, any suggestions? Like mensland or something? Not YD I dislike them

Follow on from Andrews post: brand purchase is really a non-event in the clothing industry as it's all made in factories across Asia.

Get the design you want, ask them to copy it in your dimensions, achieve the same at a much lower cost, most will even be able to use the same materials.

Another option is to purchase from suit hire companies. It all comes down to budget.

Found this place online, have spoken to them and it seems like what I am after, pricey but looks worth it, especially for Bespoke!

Tailor | Tuxedo | Bespoke Suit | Tailor Made Suits | Tailored Wedding Suits | Bespoke Tailors
Might be great, bespoke is bespoke (in the end), quality fabric is the ultimate end.

My Zegna suits have a "feel" to die for ... Armani is "meh" in comparison.

+1 for Dom Bagnato but would not recommend Studio Italia based solely on the fit range offered.

Also recommend Gibson which can also be found in Myer (sold alongside Dom Bagnato) as both are made by Cambridge Clothing Co. in New Zealand, Cambridge Clothing Co. also make the suits from Calibre, + many other reputable, trendy and high quality suits, ie. Joe Black the Tailor etc.

You'll find most their suits are at least Pure Wool 100/120 thread count, or Wool/Cashmere, generally from italian/other exotic based materials etc. blends, and NOT synthetic, itchy, polyester/viscose sh*t.

Biggest bonus as mentioned, you'll have change to spare.

EDIT: Most of the brands mentioned also sell suit separates which helps for those guys either top heavy or bottom heavy, even if it's by one or two sizes. You'll find Hugo Boss, Armani and Zegna only offer sets so if you need one or two sizes difference in pant or jacket, you're looking at hefty alterations, unless you know someone who is willing to alter suits you'll be paying a fair bit, even $40 on average for jacket sleeve alterations etc. Hope that helps.
