Designer suits

Okay I'm stepping up in the world, so I wan't to buy some bling suits i.e D&G, or Gucci, or something similar

Thing is, I'm a tight arse.

Well, not quite........I don't mind paying for quality designer items, but I refuse to pay the inflated bullshit prices that some stores in Perth ask for designer items, purely because we're in Australia and everything is always 10 times the price in Australia compared to overseas.

There are thousands of people on the net that sell fakes, so I know I have to be careful, but does ANYONE know of any online stores that will sell genuine designer gear to overseas buyers, or even local suppliers who sell their wares for similar prices to the overseas sellers?

If not, I'll just buy up when I go to New York in a couple of months :D

Thanks :)

Had a friend go to Thailand just to get some tailored designer suits made up for him. He had like 10 made in different styles. Worked out to around $500 each. Was cheaper for him to go there and buy the tailored suits than buying them locally

Do Target do suits? Then again I have formal and informal jeans so I can't comment...

I have used them multiple times and they are great. They even individually wrap our items in tissue paper!

Also they have some suits at www.eluxury.com

+1 trip to Phucket for a week and they will measure and make your suits while you get shit faced. Highly recommend it.

yup huge difference between AU prices and what ppl pay for Gucci and the like in Europe, especially countries where the Euro currency has not been introduced yet

suits aint cheap in NY unless you buy them off the back of truck in Brooklyn from a guy named Juan, Jose or Julio.

Dumb question maybe, but how do you know if the suits fit you if you haven't bought them (as in bought that particular brand) before?

Or is it a question of going to the stores here, trying them on, making some excuse, then ordering online?

I haven't even tried ordering sneakers online for that reason.

Going to suits is a 'down in the world' manoeuvre, when you go from the suits to your underwear / tracky daks is when your stepping up in the world! :P

Suits are easy.

I'm a fairly standard size, and many of the websites I've looked at have measurement charts and how to take the measurements. As long as its close, you can get them tailored to fit anyway.
