Default How as 'economic downturn' affected you

Alrighty...I will start...

Considering I was supposed to be in the UK for 2 years, I would say
the 'economic downturn' fucked up the finance sector in London
so their were issues getting jobs

Ended on a good note, did a 33day contiki of Europe and came back
to sunny Perth.

Anyway,
How has it affected you... ?

Work got MUCH busier

As people get poorer - they tend to drink more

Oh btw - i work for a liqour shop

Spending bulk money on booze - followed by mass bitching about how the economy is fucked = the australian way

Telling a client his $68K order in July will now cost him $98K.

Hasn't affected me personally though, not noticeable anyway.

I'm glad I bought my Axis motor when the rate was 0.96, has saved me nearly $3000.00 if I bought it now.

On the flipside I'm down a fair bit on paper with my shares!!

residential surveying has slowed.

not "omg what am i doing today?", yet. rather a small pile of to do and no nasty survey managers screaming up and down the stairs telling me how 'urgent' their job is.
