It won't happen in the CBD i don't think. But I think a street circuit in Mandurah, or Joondalup is possible. Hope it goes ahead. Barbs is a bit of a joke circuit for those big V8's.. hardly get to open the taps!

there was a meeting few weeks back about the developments of Barbagallo, and it sounds promising with track extension and new pits area... with these upgrades Barbagallo could be interesting.

Redbull Air Race organisers fund most of it, V8s want it all done for them so they just bring the crews in and race. $ vs $ outlay for such an idea could blow this out of the waster. Barbagallo is more of a 1 time long range type of investment (has limits obviously) but a street circuit will cost millions to run every year... could be something that will halt the proposal.
But hopefully not...

id rather it at barbs because it makes money for the track and we might lose our only real track without the v8's there.

Exactly what is likely to happen IMO. The corridor has already been built out that far and getting rid of the track opens up a whole lot of land for development. They should sell it to investors and put the money into building that track an hour and a bit NW of Perth (I believe jEsTeR started the thread but buggered if I can find it). Dowerin or something like that where the Field Days are
