Quick help needed!
I have a burnt DVD with about 5 movies on it,
i am unable to view them through my DVD player but i can watch them on my computer as they are AVI files, my question is what format do i need to burn them to to be able to watch on my DVD player. thanks blair |

They are most likely in the XVID format by the sounds of things. You will need to burn to something like VCD for you DVD player.
Or do what we did we found a DVD player for 50 bucks that plays XVID, it even has a USB port. I just connected an external Hard drive to it and play all the movies like that. Works good. Cheers

Dick smiths used to do one but now Big W does. Buy thier cheapest DVD player and it plays everything - all regions and computer files, photos etc. Had an expensive DVD player Before and it played nothing.

use a program called convertxtodvd... simple and effective.

Use Nero Recode .. Or 'Make your own DVD movie' from the QuickStart thingy. You just drop the .avi files in, and it writes them to the DVD so older DVD players can read them.
I am doing one right now (Just bought a 50" Samsung Plasma from JB's today!!)
