Not sure if anyone can help me, I posted before about my planned move to Brissy, looks like this is comming closer to reality. Now the question I have for people is how would I go about finding a place to rent.

I guess my main question is in your experience will it be possible to find a place and secure it while still being here in Perth?


Any advice from people that have moved interstate before would be great.

You'll need someone in brissy to view the place on your behalf.
They more than likely wont lease it to you without someone viewing it first.

I was told by an agent when I moved here that I have to inspect the place before I could even do the application. That might vary between agents but you won't be able to sign a lease from here. I dont know how competitive the rental market is in Brisbane but if its like here you'll need to be there in person.

K thanks mate, if I get this job I am up shit creek heh don't even have any family over there mmm barrels of fun. I guess I will just have to go over for a week and find something like that.

just book into a serviced apartment for a couple of weeks while you find something.

or take minimal amount of stuff and do backpackers.
