They also annouced:

The value of BHP Billiton's Ravensthorpe and Yabulu nickel operations have been written down by $US2.1 billion ($A3.3 billion), which equates to three quarters of its total investments in the related projects.

BHP approves Pilbara iron ore expansion

BHP Billiton will go ahead with its iron ore expansion works, today approving its $US4.8 billion ($A7.5 billion) Rapid Growth Project 5 for its Pilbara operations.

Glad i have my Lion Nathan shares right now - We are trying to buy Coca Cola Amatil, deal could take 6+ months though, not sure what's going to happen but if the deal goes down there will be interesting times ahead!

where did you see that info mate? RPG5 Project is a massive investment and will be a pretty good project for WA workers. They have been holding off on awarding this contract for a few weeks.
