Im my case just having a criminal record for a couple bad crimes is good enough to get hassled when i get pulled over even though iv been good for over 10 yrs

Same kinda thing happened to my gf a couple weeks back..

Bought a quality R33, driving down the freeway not exceeding any speed limits.

Cop comes flying up behind sirens flashing n all, gf thinks wtf ?????

So she pulls over politely, cops pull her out of the car and search it from front to back
and roof to floor... Including all the air con vents.

Turns out the previous owner was a known and wanted drug dealer..

just remember we are in Australia, not America. people get mixed up with the yanky laws after watching too much TV

Like F**K he can !!!!! Only if there are reasonable grounds like mentioned above. Cops often do this on a bluff, using the advantage they have of most ppl not knowing exactly where they stand in a legal sense.

Having said that, if ya had nothing to hide & just wanted to show an attitude of co-operation, then let 'em go for it .
