Default DVD "Back-up" Software

Got a few Wiggles DVD's for my son over the last few weeks which he loves but he has a bad habbit of playing with the disks....I know he will eventually scratch them so I'd prefer to have a backup of them that can be easily burnt so I can put the genuine disks away for when my baby daughter is old enough to enjoy them too.

Any suggestions or links?

Cheers

Decrypt DVD with dvd decripter v3.5.4.0 (not newer one) as files or ISO (removes macrovision etc)
If you selected ISO to cut down on files etc you will need to then mount image with something like daemon tools.
Use DVD Shrink then and select open disc (if using mounted image) or select files and point to the folder that you decrypted them to. Re-author or shrink whole dvd files that you created to the hdd onto a single dvd disc - i always re-author and select just the movie or main file etc and get rid of the audio tracks i don't want, then in most cases your authoring the dvd as 100% and not using compression.
Under Backup select your options use 4x to burn and if heavily shrunk select both deep analysis and sharpen (normal)
Burn with nero enabled NOT version 8 as causes issues with chapters.......

Cheers,
Matt

Ditto, I find backing up to hard drive then burning the backup with nero the best way.

"dvd shrink" s the go - or if that fails use "ripit4me" - which runs thru 4 procesess and has never failed me (it requires shrink and dvd decrypter as well - most downloads come with the whole package)

Clone DVD 2 is the easiest to use as it shrinks and burns it
in 1 application.

Also available with it is Any dvd which takes the region and security
off.

john, didn't you get nero bundled with your dvd burner? when i downloaded dvd shrink it recognised that nero was installed and once it has compressed it and put it on your hdd it will ask you if you want to use nero to burn it, well thats what mine does anyway
