Hi all,

Im going to Beijing for chinese new year again but this time
going through HK instead of Singas.

Just wanted to know if anyone has been to the HK intl airport
before and what kind of shops do they have, like clothing stores
electronics etc.

Im hoping they have NIKE as i always get new and cheap ones from singas.

Also, this is highly doubtful but does anyone know of any performance
parts shops in BJ?

Definetly a lot of shops at the airport. Can't remeber whether there was a Nike shop though. Most of the shops are all by brand name. Try this link...

Dont waste your time shopping at HKIAP, everything is overpriced. For real deals you will have to travel into Mong Kok and Shan Shei Po or even better Shenzhen on the mainland.

The Airport is fukn nice though.

HKIAP is awesome, but if you want cheap shopping go to Shen Zhen. Cheaper than Beijing because that is where the rest of China gets all the fake stuff! :-P

Cheers guys, not going to actually hongkers only wanted to
know about the airport as we have a 2hr wait for our flight to
BJ.

As for fake stuff and factory seconds you cant go past
china's biggest market which is in my mrs home city
which it in Shenyang.

Bloody thing is 20x bigger than carousel and 6 stories high,
you need to go for like 3days straight just to check out the first
3 floors

Its awesome but your legs get tired

Its minus 20'c in shenyang at the moment, im gonna freeze
my balls off.

Lots of sneakers in Hong kong, I picked up a pair on 25th AF1 for only $400 full legit! Pretty sure there's a New Balance sneaker store in the airport which stock all the 574 and 1500's.

head and got my AF1 25s for 100bucks at singas airport as they
were having a sale and ive been there that many times the staff know me

Im getting some sneaks made at the "bj nike id studio" and also checking
out the "Nike 100 House of innovation" which is basically a nike museum
of the top 100 shoes in nike history.

Found a tuning shop called "full throttle motorsport" they are the first
full tuning shop that was asked by subaru to sell thier cars so now they
have a subaru showroom atached to the tuning shop.

Def gonna check that out!

This sounds hell interesting. Have never heard about a nike museum. Are the nike's custom made!!??

Yeah ive been collecting for over 15yrs, my collection is not what
it used to be due to a disgruntle ex throwing out about 30pairs,

Nike house of innovation is a new concept which opened in bj late last year,
its in the gallery precinct and not the shopping one, is got all kinds of history
on designs, technology and releases since nikes conception.

They even give you an ipod that has a guided tour on it, no you cant keep it, but you do get a Look book at teh end of the tour.

The Nike id studio is also a worldwide concept (except aus) where you
can choose a blank design of shoe and choose the colour schemes and
even the materials they use, such as alligator, crocodile print and you
can have your name or custom text put on the shoes like PWRX for example.
