Has anyone reported a hoon and if so what happened (if anything) ?

I had a retard in a commodore decide to slide his ute around spraying my wrx with gravel, now I have stone chips on the left hand side of the car (bonnet, fender, headlight, front spiler and windshield).

I reported it to the police but family want me to drop it in case there are reprisals.

EDIT: Now, I for one have been caught speeding on several occasions, 2 of which would have landed me carless for a period of time had I been caught doing those speeds recently. I lost my licence for 3 months due to excessive demerit points. I have owned several cars. The 2 cars I have lost a total of 17 points in are a 1999 Hyundai Excel (with hubcaps, 16 points total) and a VL Commodore (1 point on my P's). I have owned 3 performance (read: HOON) cars and have not lost a single point, nor been pulled over in for any reason other than driving through an RBT. A 276awhp 02 STI, a 316rwhp 6MT VYII SS and my current car, an MY99 WRX. Maybe I grew out of it, maybe I've been lucky the past few years. The point is I enjoy a big skid or some fancy driving as much as the next enthusiast, however there is a time and place for it.

No, as it happens the driver concerned was 'known' to the Police and as such could convict him due to breach of good behaviour. As for your case, I would not be concerned at retribution as you can say to the police that you will provide evidence but you do not wish for your identity to be known.

It sounds like you know the guy because he lives in your area and hence might know you/your family. Could always go eye for an eye and drop a brick on his bonnet. In Soviet Russia, Waldo finds you!!

I took photos of a hoon going down my street, then filled out a hoon report and attached the photos and sent it to the cops. Had a witness as well. Never heard a thing since I sent it.

I have seen the cops using handhelds near me nore since, but havent been contacted by the cops. Havent seen the hoon since.
