Default Is there any good BMW forums?

Will probably not happen but may be looking at selling the WRX and buying a Beemer..

Does anyone know of any good BMW forums, preferably WA based or Australian where i may be able to gather some info from?

Cheers

What sort of BMW? The good BMW forums are largely model based.

Preferably an E46 M3 but that may be stretching the budget so maybe an E36.

I also quite like the E46 325Ci with the M3 pack, unsure about how they perform though..

BAKKS what model E46 do you have?

BCI is very E30 focused I've found, not much help if you have an E46. I would certainly go an E46 over an E36, even if comparing E46 325i v E36 M3.

Best bet is to look at www.E46fanatics.com

Mines just a 318i (and for sale if anyone is interested), hence I've got the Evo.

Interesting about the E46 325 over the E36 M3, why would you go that way, is it just becuase it's newer?

Is you 318i advertised anywhere? If not do you have some pics you could send me please.

the e36 m3s have alot of potential they are a freak car honestly have quite a few mates with them and let me tell you they put up a fight with my car, and my car isnt slow they have so much down low power its a joke the torque and response you get from just tapping the accelerator = happy in your pants, they just want to step out sideways if your realy keen on a beamer let me no because i no of a fair few for sale.

E46 M3 CSL. One of the best NA cars I've driven.

Your usual E46 M3 packs 6 ITBs. The CSL has 6 ITBs as well but on sports mode, the manifold opens up and becomes free flow.

I recall reading somewhere the M3 CSL has a factory 280 deg camshaft. Do correct me if I'm wrong.

Just for the age factor. An E36 M3 is going to be getting quite old, SMG is costly to replace, as is the VANOS. No doubting they are good cars, but a bit long in the tooth for me. That said if I was going to buy one I'd look for a mint 3.0, as they are quite cheap and all manual I believe, chuck a few basic mods on and say hello to 12 second quarter miles.

I'll shoot you a PM.

I'd LOVE an M3 CSL but they are just so pricey. Interestingly E46 M3's are so cheap in the US - as low as $20k USD. We get done over here...
