Car Stolen !
 

Basically someone broke into my house while i was sleeping and stole my keys, my car and my wallet sometime between 1am to 5am this morning.

No idea what they're gonna do with the car, but can everyone please keep a look out on the road or cheap parts for sale in the near future?

the car is a white MY99 Subaru Impreza WRX, number plate is [KEKEKE]. has black blade on a 22B spoiler, trust front lip, clear indicators, black tail lights, 18" gun metal avanti nitro rims and red calipers with white writing saying subaru on the calipers. the front windscreen has a sticker saying FUSION on the top. muffler recently fell off, so its held up with metal wires and cable ties. should be fairly easy to see.

yea, thanks everyone, the car is insured, but the $20K+ of mods is not on the policy.

and to make it worst, i can't even get a hired car now cos they took my wallet which has my drivers licence in there.

dpi is closed today, and the hire car people will not accept driver licence renewal form, so i must wait till monday to apply for re-issue of my licence, wait, wait and wait for the licence to get to my house via mail b4 i can get a hired car.

brant didn't come out factory on GC8's unfortunately.

What extent did they go to to get inside your house etc ???

Brant was available on MY99 onwards. When I got the MY99 WRX subaru
was putting them in free. My MY00 STI has it also.

It was never "factory". Brant/Subaru have a deal where they install them
when the cars get to Australia.

Perhaps this is a good time for all those people who have disabled theirs
to man up and and actually start using it. A little bit of pissing about each time
you start saves a lot of heart ache later.

Lets face it, when you pick up some chick you take a few moments to
put on a condom to save getting "that call" from her later.... Same deal
with the Brant... takes a few moments but saves you having to
make "that call" to the police later...

eyes wide open for white rexs...hopefully insured and get it back safe and sound

I though that MY00 (GC8)had it standard and MY99 Subaru would do a retro fit.

Could be wrong..

my01 was the first wrx to come with the brant.

my00 and my99 would get them for free, after they kept getting stolen.
