Boilermakers out of work, you know the economy is fucked!

Sorry to hear mate.

Try Austal Ships, they always have a boilermakers wanted signs up as I pass.

I also think Bradken? air-conditioning has a similar sign just a few hundred metres back from Austals on Russel Road too.

Not sure if they need or use this kind of staff, but you could always give them a shot:

United Group, Transfield Services and Pacific Industrial Co.

Sorry to say this but 457's are going to find it very difficult to get sponsors in the current environment.

With the glut of citizens wanting jobs out there, it would be difficult for a company to justify the need of 457's. Plus the unions are not helping with any of the 457 stuff. Most of the bigger name workshops along the strip are letting go of people left right and centre too.

Good luck.

I'm a site manager for one of the construction companies on the Kwinana strip. From just over 80 guys this time last year, I've had to cut down to 18. And that's just on this site.

United are desperate for pipefitters at Boddington (good pay + travel deals) but you will find it tough on a 457. Best of luck.
