All religous holidays have been destroyed by modern day culture, but still, I love the days off (more so the fact my friends have a day off, public holidays dont mean jack on a minesite) to hang out and drink beer all day.
Today to commemorate Jesus, I am baking a loaf of bread from scratch, and we are eating fish for dinner. - Just a slight token of respect for the beliefs that founded this country. As for the argument that the chinese and muslims have been here as long as anglo saxons - true fact, but they were never organised enough to be a prime minister or a major leader in the making of our country. The real leaders have all been christians, our country was founded by a christian nation, and the majority of our population / schools that have religious beliefs are christian, so I think it is only fair that we act as a Christian nation.
