Hey Guys

Is anyone considering buying one of these?

Any insight into these bikes. Pros/Cons?

Cheers, Steve

Talking They rip....

THEY RIP... A must have for xmas!!! I have several mates that also have them and we all race motocross but have more fun banging bars on the Thumpstars!!

Be aware that the 125cc model looks fast but has a clutch that is a real pain, can cause lots of probs. They also have got weird spring/ air damper front shocky !! What the 110cc loses in HP it makes up for with 3 speed semi auto (not clutch) will beat the 125cc if the straights are not to long. also suggest you run on av gas!!!

My exact thoughts for Christmas aswell!!!

What makes the clutches so painful? Prob associated?

R U serious abt running av gas?

So can they handle a bit of punishment?

The clutch is not the problem, it,s the $2 gear box they put on them. Remember the original motor and gear box off these bikes is modled of the 110cc honda red posty bike. They are bullet proof, the only down fall is the gap ratio between 1st & 2nd to long so you get no drive.(Thats why the put a 4 speed with clutch) to ride these things fast is you just use 2nd & 3rd and keep maximum corner speed!!!

The av gas will give you extra 5 to 8 kmh and much better throttle responce. People get a shock when you pass them on the road doing 100kmh on a little mini bike.... the bike loves it plus it smells good

My Tips are:

1. Get a semi auto gear box
2. Manual kick start (not electric)
3. go the 110cc
4. strip the bike down when you get it and put it back together "tight" all the bolts will come loose otherwise.
5. look after it!!!! i.e. change engine oil and air filter oil regular.
6. tune the carby idle to get the throttle right( can have dead spots)
