havnt got it either. my surname starts with "S".

So typical of anything involving banks or the government, Its an electronic transfer but for some reason it comes through in miserable little trickles instead of someone just hitting enter and the entire lot being done.
Its like when you do some bank transactions electronically and they say its going to take 3 business days....What...I'm sorry did you say 3 days for a computer to move some numbers from my account in to another account?!?! Is there someone in an office doing it manually and physically moving a little pile of money from one safe to another?!?! Oh and you want ME to PAY for the transaction?!?!

I'm reminded of the Simpsons when Homer messed up his tax return and he has to go to the tax office and they show him the machine that processes returns...."This machine can process almost 9 returns a day..."

Q2: When will the tax bonus be paid?

Payments will go out progressively over six weeks from early April to the 7.4 million eligible people who have already lodged last year’s tax return. Cheque and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) postings will be distributed each business night until the initial run of 7.4 million has been completed.

All cheque and EFT payments will be made using a post code selection process that is randomly generated, ensuring all post codes are evenly distributed to each state and territory each night (using the Australia Post predetermined percentage spread). For this reason and because of security concerns, we are not planning to publish a distribution schedule.
