Hey all

I know there are a lot of these threads already, maybe we should have a SEEK subforum

Anyways, my dad is looking for work, he is pretty desperate as he has a mortgage to pay. He was recently laid off by Shell as a warden/inspector of some sort at a mine out near Kalgoorlie.
He has had many years of mechanical experience (he owned a Bridgestone Tyre & Muffler centre for a couple of years) and was a truck driver a while back. He also did time with Telecom (Old Telstra ) ... not really sure what else

He is mid 50's now but physically he still works harder than me (I'm 20)
Non smoker, non drinker.

He has got a truck licence of some sort, I will need to confirm which, and he has a light truck if a courier-type job pops up. He's interested in any kinda work part-time, casual, whatever. Anything that pays over $20 an hour.

is usually a few people looking for sub contractors i the transport section of the employment adds in the wednesday and sat papers..
