Mortgage Brokers
Anyone here know a good mortgage broker. Looking to buy land at the moment but need to find someone able to pull a few strings or negotiate some really good deals! The longer I wait to save up a deposit the higher land prices are getting !! It's a bit of a joke, and I'm not prepared to sell the rex !
Any suggestions of who to go to would be greatly appreciated! Ciao, Ray. |

I just went through this process, I found the 'bigger-name' mortgage brokers to be fairly useless and unhelpful. I eventually found a small 'one-woman-band' broker who helped me out though - next time I think I will go straight to the banks.
If you're low on deposit and want to buy a block of land (and not build straight away) then Commonwealth do a pretty competitive loan which only requires 5% deposit. All the other lenders require a 10% deposit for land-only, plus forget about first home owners grant and stamp duty rebates for now...If eligable you will get them (hopefully) when you start building. PM me if you want some details. Cheers Beau |

Try Link Mortgages out on Beaufort St, Inglewood. They do a great job. They will shop around for you to get you the best package possible. One thing you must realise when getting a loan is the percentage rate isn't the only factor to look at. You have to look at whether there are book keeping fees, any exting costs if you only plan to have the block for only a couple of years etc. That is why you must get the best package that suits you.
Either way GL. PM me if you would like more details.. Cheers, Steve Last edited by Darken; 01-12-2005 at 11:28 AM. |

if u can wait about a month... i'll be able to offer 90-100% finance (i'm not a broker) at less than 6.5% standard variable no strings attached, no book keeping fees. if you have a better deal, i'll beat it. remember to compare real rates - called the comparison rate- over the life of the loan, and not honeymoon fixed rates that look good then ping you later.
only for home loans or refinancing though.
