Default Head Units from Overseas

Hello All,

I have done a quick search to no avail and am wondering if head units bought from the USA and Europe will work here in Australia? And if they operate on the same band?

I was looking at this one in particular.

On jap car stereos the radios dont work in the uk.

maybe the same here....

ie if jap stuff works here, uk/europe stuff wont

As far as I know Jap stuff wont work here unless you have some adaptor, just want a definate before I waste $300.

yeah thats right think its a frequency converter they are 40 quid in the uk ($80 ish)

dont see why not

the stuff comes from different countries anyway

the channels are also manually set so.....yeh

my brother bought an ebay deck from korea or something, no probs... brand name was eonon

I have had about 4 or 5 alpine headunits in the past and the sound processor blew on 2 of em!!

I have bought lots of car audio stuff from ebay in the US before and the head units work fine.
