usually has to do with the phone. iphone 3gs = poor reception. i dont know about sydney, but perth has excellent reception for optus customers

It was rubbish when I lived in Perth. Why should it have anything to do with the phone? The network should meet the requirements of all the phones they sell.

you must be the odd one out then :)

If telstra offered a unlimited call plan I'd be all over it but doesn't seem to be so. But I don't want to be stung every month for extra on my phone bill.

Apple have released a new firmware for the iPhone's. Don't upgrade to 4.0.2 as this blocks the security hole that allowed the "Jailbreakme 2.0" to work in previous firmwares. iPad 3.2.2 as well does the same thing.

My better half got the new iPhone 4.0 the other day, and I set it all up for her. Comparing it to my 3GS, the screen is a huge improvement. However, asside from that, and the physical appearance of it. I can't see much difference between that and my 3GS with IOS 4.0 on it.

On another note, does anyone have a spare / old iPhone laying around that I can borrow for a couple of weeks whilst my iPhone get's repaired.. I really can't be separated from it!

they get donations (decent amounts as well). Its just a matter of them finding a "hole" in the code that they can exploit, or some form of script that they can run to exploit a weak part in the code. Breaking through the initial iOS 4.0 firmware would have been the hardest.

but yes it would be fairly full on haha

What's taking a couple of weeks to repair?

Is it warranty work or something? As I just got my screen replaced within an hour the other day.
