Default VS Commodore help

Hey all

my mate has a VS Commondore and he says that nothing is wrong with his car but when he turns the car off it bubbles (like boiling water sound). im just wondering what you guys think it might be. I know that about two months ago he had a problem with it overheating it was a thermostat that wasnt working. the car has overheated about 9 or 10 times that I know off to the point we had to get out and wait for it to cool down. any idea what it could be.

there is an air lock/bubble in the cooling system. when the thermostat works, both rad hoses will get hot. when it doesnt, only the top hose is hot, bottom stays cold.

flush through the coolant and bleed out any air. buy some seal-up from supercheap and throw that in there just in case there's a tiny leak....

but most likely he will need to replace head gasket. fun fun

depending on how hot it has got, and if it is running the correct coolant or just water. My bet is minimum head gasket, but probably a warped head as well...

Best solution, take it for a good fang through the pines, kill it, save up another $500 and buy another one...

If it is a head gasket gone there will be bubbles coming up where the radiator cap is. Take it off, start the car and see if it bubbles up there. If there are bubbles that's your answer. Also if that's the case, video of bulk sick high smoke single peggers until the motor pops
