Default Something for parents

Just thought id post this up in case someone else
who has kids was looking for a kool kids booster seat.

Just bought my daughter a RECARO Vivo booster seat
and it looks awesome and the quality is top notch.

It comes with an aluminium frame and has side impact
protection, has 3 reclining positions, adjustable height
for head rest and micro fibre material.

Its got "EU" standards which is better than AUS standards
but this seat is not available in OZ so i had to get it OS.

Here it is:

Really wanted to get the SPARCO "Wing Man" Carbon fibre kids seat
to match the CF seats in the 204 but after seeing the price
of $4k US i quickly had a re-think

I really wanted the "Carbon" colour but apparently they are now
discontinued which is stupid as it's the best colour of the lot, so
i settled for the "Midnight Desert".

Not often i get excited about buying these kind of things but this
is quite kool.

PM me if you want some details.

Wayno

There's also the simpson baby seat, pretty damn cool, again its U.S standards. That sparco looks good tho, does'nt look too comfy for the kids.

Yeah i know, thats why i got it from OS.

Quite a few people from some Honda forums are using them over
east and nothing but good praise for them.

Stupid really because you should see half the shit
that target/kmart sell, all they are is crappy esky
foam seats and also little base seats with no back
or side protection at all.

Like this one:

This looks highly dangerous but meets the stupid aust standards.

Well they are meant to have the AUS/NZ standards sticker on it...

ie.

It really sux because im sure euro standards are still 10 years ahead from OZ.. but maybe we'll catch up eventually!

i agree, its quite obvious that these seats are of higher standard than the run-of-the-mill kmart offerings... pity how a sticker decides the standard...
is there a way to get the seats certified? ie take them into dpi or something? surely there must be a way for getting new products approved :s

It would cost an absolute fortune as you need quite a few examples
for stringent testing before AUST STD's will give it approval.
