You may want to update your info, but to save you the time car thefts this year so far in Rockingham are 34 and where Steve lives is 28 so not a lot of difference. Keep up the good work champ.

If the car theft was high this year it wouldnt be notorious - these connotations are based on past history!

Defend the suburb all you like - I wouldnt live there.

I was explaining some else’s post of a negative comment about Rockingham -guess the notorious is based on people’s perceptions and not fact anyway - People I know would not describe the suburb as one to aspire to.

Talk about way off topic.

Its funny how peoplen that dont/have not lived in the area make judgements on it based on outdated figures :/ yet the people that actually live there dont experience these crimes.

Out of the 12 years i lived in Thornlie i was mugged once, and they got fuck all cause i just walked into my uncles house (lucky i was walking past it!) with a massive rotti and they ran like the dirty scum they were. Now, if i mentioned Thornlie to anyone that hasnt lived close they'd comment something like "Wow, when i drive through it, i dont go below 50km/h in fear of losing my rims".

Thats correct and have chosen to continue the off topic talk.

Firstly the last 6 months is also past history! Only current for this year.

Secondly, not that you have a clue, but Rockingham the council had about 10 suburbs within it some are good and some not so.

And Im pointing out the fact that just like Rockingham other places like Fremantle, Perth, Mandurah (I can list the other 20 if you like) etc also have this theft rate so no need to isolate it.

Hi,

I think it is great to see people have pride in their suburb. It's not always the case, and maybe this is why Rocko is on the way up, and not on the way down.

Cheers,
Nik

Haha - yeh, but even I am getting bored now.

You win! Congratulations.....

Cant see why a suburb that gets so much negative press with its name somewhere associated would be classified as notorious for anything apart from being wonderful. I'll be there soon!

Steve - meet where you want, its your car and people will travel to see it. Often cruises head south so if you wait for one you could head to a meet point and catch up with quite a few PWRXers.

I personally don't have any problems with the place. A old friend of mine who is in the Navy lives down there and many a time I've stayed down there and the rex has sat in the driveway. And imo I would rather live there than go back to New Guinea or any of the other really dodgy places I've lived.
