Insurance is $1,900 premium with $400 excess, via AAMI. Includes one windscreen replacement per year. But I am 30+ years old, a rating one driver, car stored securely etc etc

Yes - I had to sign the same huge disclaimer about noises, the cost of the brakes etc. The transmission sounds like it is alive - it clunks and rattles when downshifting.

When I am next back to Perth I'll get the R35 along to a cruise. I still rate the WRX as the best thing around for the $$.

Shit that's cheaper than I'd have thought.

Is there any special run in procedure on them??

Supposedly the motors are run-in on the dyno when they are built. The sales manager told me they are good to go from delivery - no need to run in.

Whether this is true or not I don't know. I have made the conscious decision not to cane it or select the R modes for gears, suspension and traction until after the first 2000km service..
