I think he wants everyone to remember his name, either that or he's in AA and is used to standing up and saying "Hi, My name's Nik and I'm an alcoholic, Cheers" Although, cheers wouldn't be the best thing to say at AA! Yeah, I think he just wants his name remembered.

Just a force of habit from being on too many American forums I guess, it's more common on them. It also helps if I need to direct my post toward a certain member - rather than having it tangled up in a different conversation.

Seems of all the forums on the net I'm a member of, this is the only one where people find it annoying? Sorry if it upsets you, but hey, you can always make some tags about me.

Good point on the quote, on the forums I moderate I prefer people not to continually use the quote button though. Most people leave pictures in, and you're simply repeating the same thing in the same thread, so everyone has to sift through re-posted information before getting to the point.

Balistic: I can put it in my signature, not a bad idea. You'll have to excuse me if I have a few double cheers' slip through though. Being an alcoholic I should probably try and limit myself though.
