Just a quick thought and maybe the legal guru's can shed
some light on it.

What would the repercussions of Cathy Freeman taking out defamation
suit against PWRX for all the slanderous remarks/tags that are being put
up, as in would she have a case or not even close?

Just a thought that crossed my mind and was curious as i remeber Peter
Holz wanted to do the same thing previously.

Er no. Not really. And taking someone to court for defamation costs a lot of money ($40k+) and can take up to 2 yrs for the case to go to court. Can you imagine how busy lawyers would be, if someone could sue someone else because of something slanderous written about them on the internet??

Yeah thought so, just was curious as that Peter Holz
guy was talking about it before and it would be pretty
farkd if PWRX was to suffer because of some idiots who
are obsessed by Cathy Freeman.

Also it obvious they couldn't sue every member but they
could go after the persons name who the site is registered
in eg Stace or even the provider.
