Nope he trains with Angelo Hader and while the opponent was not highly ranked it was a win in the USA which is pretty rare for Aussie Boxers...good old Chocco has never done this and after what he said about 9/11 I dont think he will ever get a chance. Next up is Green vs Roy Jones Jnr in Nov in Sydney. For a 40 year old boxer Jones Jr is just amazing. He absolutely gave Jeff Lacy a boxing lesson yesterday. Booking my flight to Sydney as soon as they set the date in November. Should be a hell of boys weekend away with my mates.

Was a good solid fight by Green. In my opinion he had the punching power back that seemed to be alcking in his last few fights. Looked more aggressive and overall moved better.

Seeing RJJ absolutely pick Lacy apart was amazing, his hand speed is unreal especially for a 40 year old. Danny is going to have a really hard time with him.

Hoping like hell this eventuates. It will be interesting to see how its done as RJJ will be used to fighting for US $$$ and I just hope that there is enough interest across the country to raise the $$$ from pay per view. I'm sure that he has his following in the US but with the time difference etc it may be a bit harder to get the yanks to sit down and watch. Also the Aussie currency isn't as good as when this idea was first conceived and I don't think either of them are going to fight for the love of the sport....

Sydney confirms Green-Jones fight

Sydney today confirmed it will host one of the biggest boxing bouts held in Australia, with Perth's Danny Green to slug it out against legendary American Roy Jones Jr on home soil.
The world cruiserweight title fight is expected to be held in the harbour city on the last weekend of November, with the venue still to be confirmed.
More than 5000 fans from interstate and overseas - many from WA to support the 38-year-old - are expected to attend.
Announcing the event, NSW Premier Nathan Rees said a number of "pre-fight build-up" events were planned, including appearances by both boxers and public sparring sessions.
"This will be the biggest fight ever staged in Australia and it will be beamed to all points of the globe," he said in a statement.
"Sydney gained a global reputation for delivering the biggest and best events, like the Olympics, the Rugby World Cup and World Youth Day.
"Today's announcement shows Sydney's stamp of excellence continues to help deliver results."
Jones Jr is widely regarded as one of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters of all time, and has never competed professionally outside of the United States.
Sydney-based Green has won three world titles in separate divisions, the most recent on Sunday when he defeated Argentine Julio Cesar Dominguez in Mississippi for the vacant IBO cruiserweight title.
This means he has emulated the achievement of his former trainer Jeff Fenech, the only other Australian to win title belts in three divisions.
Green will put his new belt on the line when he goes head to head with Jones Jr in Sydney.
The premier said he was confident people would flock to Sydney to get behind Green.
"After his sensational performance I'm sure Australian fans can't wait to cheer Danny on in their own backyard," Mr Rees said.

green is a paper champ, as soon as his opponent come out wearing green machine gloves, same as the last 2 fights you coud tell the fight was rigged same as his last three fights. Pathetic really. Lets see how the RJJ fight will be scripted.
