The last one I went to was Metallica headlining (2003)? and the reason I haven't been since was because of the crowds, just ridiculously over-crowded. It ruined it. I went to go to the toilet and get a round of drinks and returned to my mates 1hr.30 later.

Add to that the loss of mobile phone coverage due to the sheer number of punters there, plus the extreme difficulty in moving from on stage to another.

Dickheads are easy to weed out, just ignore them or move...

But that becomes very hard when 40/50 000 of you are shoved in like cattle.

It seriously should be an 18 plus event, would still sell tons of tickets, and would remove the need for the fencing which is major cause of the issue.

agreed. fencing causes injury in alot of concerts... minimal fencing = minimal injury

also it doesnt take long for the dickheads to get kicked out OR get the sh*t beat out of them
