Default PLAY3R's dads project- Replica AC Cobra

Thought i'd post up a few pics of my dads beautiful ac cobra replica (my favourite car of all time!!!!) thats almost finished and cost him a packet cause he went quality all the way, Hasnt put a few bits in it at the moment so they dont get damaged but wiill after it gets painted. Performance unlimited built the engine which is a 355ci fuel injected v8 and made just over 400hp on the engine dyno. Bloody quick with the light body on it.
Just needs interior done (getting done right now and should be ready next week) and a paint job last of all. Has the 18inch replica wheels, full jaguar rear end and chassis, coil overs, detailed under carridge, my favourite the 300km/h speedo:-)
I crack a massive woody evertime i see and hear it!!!! Sounds bloody awesome and lumpy with the side pipes, big cams and its all legal!!!!! AND registered as from 6 weeks ago:-) One day if he ever wants to part with it i already told him my hands up first!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes! Very very very very nice.

I still don't know whether to do one of these or a dak dak project.

Out of curiosity where did he get the shell/frame from? G-force?

And you can still register them with side pipes!? Win

i'd do one of these up over a dak dak anyday cough,cough... maybe next one!. Yep certainly did,he studied and looked at the replica builders in WA (only a few around) And thought G-Force was the best to build him a shell.

Yeah you can register with side pipes as long as you pass the db test and it has a cat,it was hell loud so he sent the exhausts to a muffler shop in which they fitted a muffler and a cat to each side which quietened it down enough, only just,to pass.
It was 2db over but the guy liked it so he was nice enough to pass it there and then.

Very nice... Wish my dad had started a project on one of tese rather than the ferrari dino replica that he has. His is still sitting in his front yard untouched for the last 6 years or so. Be good to see this when finished...
