There is one called Nagoya, its on Adelaide Tce, number 251, opposite the Septimus Roe Building. Its next door to my work, and frequented by alot of people here. Or u can try Jaws in the city mall.

After been here for so long, managed to find the following restaurant worth visiting. Still in search for good jap food but here are my favourites so far.

HaLu
4/401 Oxford Street
Mount Hawthorn
Fusion Japanese food.
Small quantity but with unique choices of food.

Fuji Japanese Restaurant
233 Albany Hwy
Victoria Park (behind John Hughs)
Try their sukiyaki, it's the works.

Kiri Japanese
142 Onslow Rd
Shenton Park
It's a small cozy restaurant, food is beautiful and also well presented.
3 days’ advance booking for dinner.

Ohnamiya Japanese Takeaway food
34 Kearns Crs
Applecross
Casual dinning place.

Bonsai Restaurant
30 Roe St
Northbridge
The current owner's dad previously run a small take away shop in Claremont called 'Sunkat Sura' (if I'm not wrong with the spelling) that sells the BEST teriyaki beef in WA! Now the son has taken over the business and now turns into a fusion style food with a warehouse style atmosphere.
Would recommend you to bring your client to visit this restaurant.

There is such a thing as "GOOD" japanese food!!?

I remember an excursion with my japanese class in yr10 to a jap restaurant, everything just seemed to be full of vinegar, luckily I had plenty of pepsi on hand to prevent the up chuck

I just wanted to add that this phrase nearly made my head explode haha!!!

Japanese food is pretty amazing, and brew has pretty much covered the a list

Nagoya is not good at all, its utility sushi at best. for lunchtime city eats mr samurai was the best (RIP) but now takas kitchen probably is.

my favourite japanese restaurant though would probably be tsunami in mosman park, the soft shell crab sushi is amazing and the seating out the back is really really scenic.

Second that. I went there with my ex-gf on Simon's recommendation, and the food was brilliant. The soft shell crab was win.

The indoor seating is more suited to couples. Cosy and intimate!
