Manager is korean I think.

I'd rather go to Ohnamiya which is closeby , better food & cheaper

Unfortunately Perth has crappy japanese food in general. No variety and altered to suit western tastes. Sydney has much better jap food than Perth. Aside from Japan itself, Vancouver is awesome so if your friend has been to those places they will be disappointed with Perth

Midori Japanese Restaurant, 67 Milligan Street near fast eddies

I just wanted to add that this phrase nearly made my head explode haha!!!

Japanese food is pretty amazing, and brew has pretty much covered the a list

Nagoya is not good at all, its utility sushi at best. for lunchtime city eats mr samurai was the best (RIP) but now takas kitchen probably is.

my favourite japanese restaurant though would probably be tsunami in mosman park, the soft shell crab sushi is amazing and the seating out the back is really really scenic.

Second that. I went there with my ex-gf on Simon's recommendation, and the food was brilliant. The soft shell crab was win.

The indoor seating is more suited to couples. Cosy and intimate!

Make sure you have a nice big spoonful of the Wasabi (green paste) before you start - it'll get your taste buds working!!
