Hey guys i'm looking to buy a vehicle from over east, now i know that there are different regulations that are in order in different states, whats the biggest issues with registering them over here

I've brought two over. I guess main issues are:

- taking it over pits and paying stamp duty there and then
- making it sure it meets WA regulations, i.e tinting etc
- arranging shipping, pick-up/drop off

For me, none of these were issues really, other than my 350z had NSW legal tint, which was not legal here.

Oh and you need to arrange a special 24 hr license so you drive it to the pits. I think (?).

Autotrans was my shipping co, both times and were pretty good. Possibly not the cheapest, but peace of mind beats cheap!

yip, Zeds on the maney, fairly simple if its a newish car as no hassels with the pits and savings to be had!

I got my STi from Sydney, used VIP Transport to get it here and was easy to take it over the pits.. No hassles at all really..
