lenticular clouds
go outside and look up......
Those round clouds you are seeing are lenticular clouds..... Lenticular Clouds, technically known as altocumulus standing lenticularus, are a strange looking cloud formation that form as strong winds blow over and around rough terrain or due to strong updrafts into calm colder layers. Some people have mistaken them for UFOs due to their smooth saucer like shape. Pretty rare here in WA. They've formed on the western side of the storm system brewing up over the North eastern / hills areas.
