before i get abused ive searched for hours and tried everything but i just cant get an avatar to upload, just comes up with "unable to save image"

anyone have a solution to this?

Its been identified in the "forum supporters" thread already. So I won't repost details here.
Rest assured others are having the same issue (including me) and I am guessing it will be
dealt with in due course. Sit tight and watch this thread over the next week or so.

Are you just using Option #2 to upload an avatar locally from your machine?

Have you tried uploading to an offsite location like Imageshack or Photobucket and dumping the link into the Option #1 field? Sorry if it's a repeated question but it wasn't specifically mentioned if people were using Option #1 or #2...

ye tried from photobucket and from computer...even tried uploading from phone and that didnt work

Not as far as I know.

I would expect it may be a while since most of the admins who can
deal with it already have their hands full with MV.

All you can do it either try again every few days, or keep an eye
on this thread and when my avatar shows up you know its fixed.

Now that MV2010 had been & gone, this might get actioned.
Also the same problem with uploading Profile Pictures.
