Yeh I have done this test for new jobs. It has always been (as has been said) to get a baseline result. I have then had to have tests every year of the job so they can see if its doing damage. Nothing to stress about, from what I saw there was no pass or fail. My results were less than perfect.

A friend of mine didn't pay attention to the instructions, and was pressing the button once the noise stopped. The tester was very confused.

Unless the tester is a retard they will cotton on pretty quick an you will be stuck in the unventilated booth with uncomfortable headphones on for a lot longer just to piss you off.

my hearings fucked from my old car stereo... my left ear in particular and i found that half the time i couldnt hear the mofo speaker but could feel it vibrating on my head hahaha
