Ah the Recaros, they're awesome. 5k optional extra I think.

Having sat in one, def. worth the extra money, look porn in person too.
Hey mate, what options did u go for on your R?
The only options I added were DSG, 19inch Rims, Leather, Sunroof and Media Device Interface.
Seriously considering one next year, murdered out with motorsport seats. Very tempting proposition!
Best put your order in now then Jme, I've heard the wait could be well over 8 months now unless you choose dealers floor stock.
Sat in these seats yesterday in the Demo next door at Osborne Park Volkswagen.

Very, very comfortable and look amazing.
Are they comfortable if you are the size of a jockey? Or are they ok if you have an addiction to mcdonalds?

Good choice with the 19s. Leather is now an option?

Yep $3300, standard seats are a mixture of cloth & microfibre.

Im a bit of both :laughing9 and had no problems with them holding with cornering etc was good too.

Leather has always been an option, just the recaros are an extra option on top of that iirc.

Dissapointed didnt get to test one with the MRC/Chassis Control option, apparently thats standard on euro models... weak.

With the R32 leather was standard. I guess thats how VW could afford to drop the price with the R by dropping leather as standard.

Sorry, I meant leather was always an option on the R, but your right in saying that. Its probably how they have made the business case viable to bring the R here, that and a host of other goodies that are options.

So did you get the opportunity to drive one? i remember you were considering getting one a while back.

The one option i wish i did include was the Adaptive Chassis Control, i think the car is still great to drive without it but it would be nice to have the option of changing the ride quality and handling characteristics of the car at any given time.
