Lost cat..again :(

Hi Everyone,

My cat has gone missing again (she went missing for 2 days last year) but now it has been 4 days and still no sign.

Not sure if this is going to help but if any of you are living in the Applecross area could you please keep a look out for a black and white cat. Her name is Jazzie and she has a red collar with her name/home number on it.

If you have seen her please contact me on 0403 682 241.]

Many thanks

Matt

tsk tsk jazzie.

smerm07 10-05-2010 10:40 PM

She knows when im coming home as she can hear my car. She runs into the driveway and just sits waiting :( did some laps around the block to see if she would notice but nothing.

edit: pic added.

rstasy 10-05-2010 10:44 PM

this is undoubtedly one of the worst feelings one can experience.

happened briefly to my cat when she legged it for a couple of days last year.

my condolences to you, hope you find her :)

SpitShine 10-05-2010 10:44 PM

funnily enough my cat's the same age; she does the exact same thing too - waits for me to rock up.

i'm sure she'll show :)

Insome 11-05-2010 05:50 AM

Had this happen to me start of the year, my cat who's now 14, went missing for a week. Crawled out from underneath a bench seat i had out the back, all sorts of reasons they go missing, but here's hoping it's just being a dirty stop out.

mARC 11-05-2010 07:03 AM

Stop letting your cat smoke marijuana mate then she wont have to go on frequent trips to find her soul mate :)

Wont be soon before long you hear her at the door pestering you for food ;)

sMY00n 11-05-2010 07:56 AM

I really hope that you find your cat.

Bridantay 11-05-2010 10:04 AM

I feel for ya, had 2 cats go missing last year havent seen either of them since.

batmat 11-05-2010 10:56 AM

Hope she comes back soon. Print/distribute colour flyers, it's the best way!

maybe u shouldnt let ur cat outside...

i hate when animals go walkabout into my property wake me up in the middle of the night because there on heat or an ant has climbed on them and they start barking....

Maybe theres others that have had the same things happen to them and have gone that one step further then my ranting

She is always kept in at night for those reasons. There are a few cats in the neighbourhood so I normally get her inside before it gets dark then let her out in the morning around 7. I think she understands that and generally stays out the front close when it's time to come in. 10 years with the same routine.

Will go for a drive around the block when i get home.

I thought this was going to be some thread about your gutting the cat from your cars exhuast.

Sorry to hear mate, hope you find it

I never understand cats how they can just be aloud to Rome around, I am more of a dog person. but regardless of what pet it is, I feel for you, I would be devastated if something happen to my pet.

Where in Applecross? There has been a similar looking cat stalking around my place in Ardross recently....but saying that, black & white cats aren't uncommon...

walk don't drive
more likely to see each other
and you can ask joggers
perfect excuse to chat up a hot chick

Jenna 11-05-2010 01:37 PM

Hey, I wouldn't worry too much about ur cat , it will come back when it's hungry!! :) they are independant animals. Our cat goes missin for days, sometimes a week at a time but always comes back!

She will show up dude :)

I think colour printing tends to get more attention regardless.

Good luck with the hunt.

Not a bad idea at all. Yeah I thought the drive may help as she recognizes my car.
here's an idea... keep her inside...?
she is kept inside at night, during the day she is out. Would be a bit harsh to leave her inside all the time

ImPreSiV 31-05-2010 02:34 PM

she's a cat, not a border collie or a kelpie... cat's spend 90% of the day sleeping, you recon when she's out and you are at work she isnt just sleeping on ur car (1 of ur problems here) or sleeping under someone elses car in their garage, then getting locked in (maybe another one of ur problems)

common sense would tell u to just leave her inside... a house is plenty of room to explore for cats. I currently have 2 cats and they are locked in a cat run outside (appox 10m by 2m) and they can come thru the window into my room. Thats all they have at the moment (until I move in 3 weeks time) but they have been like that for a year almost, and no complaint (not that they can complain, so...?)

Even after I move, they wont be going outside..

You do make valid points, the car problem is mainly my fault, as 90% of the time the garage doors are closed so she can't get in there, odd chance i leave the side door open or something by accident.

My brother has a cat who is inside all the time, it seems to be happy. After 10 years of jazzie having the ability to go outside, i don't think i could keep her inside all the time now. It wouldn't seem fair.

ImPreSiV 31-05-2010 03:21 PM

she'd get used to it, trust me... plus, wouldn't you like to not have to worry if she's gonna come home tonight, or fear the worst if she doesn't come home. Thats the main reasons I don't let mine out... they are so stupid, they'd chase a leaf blowing in the wind onto the road and WHAM
