Perth-WRX Federal Election Poll

The election for our new PM is drawing near so I thought it worth while to do some polling on who our members intend to vote for.

I'm with you Dave.
Liberal ftw.

I'm not a big fan of Tony Abbott but there's no way I could vote for Labour to keep mismanaging the economy!

ImPreSiV 16-08-2010 10:36 AM

I'm taking my advice from Mark Latham... Donkey Vote FTW!

IMO a vote for the independant is as good as a donkey vote, but at least it goes to someone with a purpose.

I'm sick of the policital circus and complete lack of accountability of consecutive governments. When they stuff it up they walk off the job. We get treated like idiots these days as they dumb down the substance to a mud slinging match.

I'd love to see a hung parliment where they have to produce good effective policy in order to be heard. Maybe it would weed out the idots. Maybe....

Warning:
Can of worms = opened.

With the election looming, and Labor & Liberal not providing much in the way of inspiring leadership, you might be tempted to pass your vote to the Greens or another alternative party.
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and it's not my place (nor my nature) to push my personal opinion upon anyone else. However, what I do ask, is before you vote for anyone, be sure you understand and agree with the policies they represent.
The greens for example have some very attractive policies in regards to environmental issues, which make them very attractive, however, a little bit of reading and investigation uncovers policies that I'm not so fond of. (Yes, the majority of my opinion in regards to these policies is based on, but not limited to, my beliefs as a christian... but hear me out)

These policies include:
-replacing school Chaplains with secular counsellors.
-remove Scripture teaching at state schools.
-Stop prayers in Parliament; and
-Provide abortion and euthanasia effectively on demand.
-Supporting gay marriage.

A lot of you probably don't give a rats about the above stances, and like I said, everyone's entitled to their own opinion. All I ask is that you understand the 'not so advertised' policies of ANY party before you vote for them.

Not to mention that if you vote for the Greens, you're effectively voting Labour anyway.

+ 1 CDP - Christian Democrats... Although their preferences go to Liberal... Which is the better of 2 rubbish options IMO... :)
